Two undergraduates shot dead, 1 kidnapped in Katsina
Suspected gunmen on Sunday attacked Bagiwa town in Mani Local Government Area of Katsina state killing two understudies of Al-Qalam University, Katsina.
The student: Ibrahim Bature, 22 year-old 400 level undergraduate, and Rabi'u Abubakar, 22 year-old 200 level undergraduates were slaughtered close by one who was kidnapped. A representative of the family of the students, Alhaji Lawal Bagiwa affirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Bagiwa said that the shooters likewise shot and harmed the casualties' 60-year-old mother and grabbed their senior sibling, Umar.
As indicated by him, the shooters, who attacked the town around 1:15am on Sunday, assaulted the family house, shooting aimlessly without requesting for anything.
Bagiwa expressed that since the shooters left with their sibling they had not yet set up contact with them.
He included, "we can't make sense of the thought process behind the killings and abducting even as the Katsina State Commissioner of Police went to our home and guaranteed to save the kidnapped casualty."
