6 SARS operatives arrested for extorting twin corpers in Delta State.

The arrest of 6 SARS officers led by one Inspector Monday Asemota, have been facilitated by the Behind Bars Rights Initiative, BBI, in Delta State.
According to reports, the officers had extorted N40,000 from a set of twins, Mark and Martins, on 22nd July 2018, while on their way to the NYSC camp.
The duo were reported stopped and told to submit their phones and bags for searching. The sum of N70,000 was discovered in their bag and the officers took N40,000 out of it.
The victims, however, immediately informed BBI and the officers were tracked to Ekpan Police station, Warri. The case was subsequently reported to IGP Xsquad, Delta State Police command.

The officers were thereafter arrested and the money returned to the corpers. They have now been detained and currently awaiting trial for misconduct and corruption.
