A tanker loaded down with petroleum on Wednesday supposedly fizzled brake and slammed into a transport at Immigration Junction, Awka, on the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway, killing two people and leaving a few others harmed.
The tanker, it was learnt, was originating from Onitsha when it lost control following a brake disappointment.
An onlooker told our reporter that the truck, while slipping an incline, slammed into the bus stacked with yams, originating from the other way.

"The truck kept running into the bus as a result of the failure of the bus driver to hurry off. I speculate that the bus built up some blame.
"One of the passengers of the bus was as yet caught in the vehicle before men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, police, Fire Service and Civil Defense were on ground controlling traffic.
Affirming the occurrence, Staff Officer to the Anambra State FRSC Sector Commander, Ejem Ufiem, said two people caught in the vehicle passed on in a flash.
He said other people who continued shifting degrees of damage were taken to a medical clinic.
He included, "The accident scene has been cordoned off, while agents of the NPF, FRSC and NSCDC are joining endeavours to control traffic.
"The Anambra State Fire Service is additionally on ground, cooling the tanker once in a while to counteract blast.
"Endeavors are being made to transload the fuel to another tanker while anticipating FRSC Asaba towing truck to expel the tanker off the street."
He exhorted drivers handling the Enugu/Onitsha interstate to be watchful and participate with traffic officers on obligation to evade repeat
