No wildlife preservation unit in Nigeria, man says as he condemned the killing of Hippopotamus in Kebbi state



Early hour of today, it was reported that Hippopotamus was trapped and killed by some fishermen in kebbi State of Nigeria.


According to Instablog, the hippopotamus was killed after causing havoc on farmland in samanaji.


Reacting to the killing of the Hippopotamus, social media user identified Akpan Owo condemned the killing of the wild animals.


He said, the wild animal was killed because Nigeria don't have preservation unit.


He added that assuming it was to be Americans, such animal would have been preserved for studies and other relevant things.

Others were in the opinion that killing the hippopotamus was the best action. They added that Hippopotamus kills faster than lion.
