Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide has also reacted to the killing of three police officers by army officers in Taraba state.

The army in its statement said it’s officers mistook the deceased police officers for kidnappers, while the police have maintained that it’s personnel were intentionally killed by the soldiers.


The police have continued to lament that the deceased officers were one of its best, and had been involved with operations that led to the arrest of many high profile criminals including ‘Evans’, the billionaire kidnappers.

Omokri in his reaction emphasized with the police force but asked them to take stock of how they if, adding that this is exactly how Nigerians feel when they encounter officers of the Special Anti Robbery Squad(SARS).

He tweeted on Friday, thus: I EMPATHISE with the @PoliceNG as the @HQNigerianArmy kills 3 officers. But it‘s also a TEACHABLE moment. The police should take stock of how they are feeling now. That is how many Nigerians feel after an encounter with the police, especially SARS!
